Richard Enander, Ph.D., ABPP Clinical Psychologist · Dallas, Texas

Board-certified in Psychoanalytic & Psychodynamic Psychology

In-depth psychotherapy, and careful forensic opinions.

For individuals

Psychotherapy

Long-term, psychodynamic therapy, often meeting more than once a week, for lasting rather than surface-level change.

How therapy with me works

For legal counsel

Forensic Consultation

Independent medical examinations, record reviews and expert reports in personal injury matters involving emotional distress and trauma.

Forensic services

Psychotherapy

Getting to the roots, not just the symptoms.

Many of the patterns that bring people to therapy — anxiety that won't settle, recurring relationship struggles, a mood that keeps returning — make more sense once we understand where they come from. In our work together, we look at the connections between what you're experiencing now and the experiences that shaped you, so that change can be deep and lasting.

I specialize in long-term psychodynamic psychotherapy, which often means meeting several times per week. This intensity gives room for the kind of understanding that shorter treatments rarely reach, and helps clients move toward their full potential.

Who I work with

Adults and adolescents across a broad spectrum of concerns, including:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Personality disorders
  • Trauma
  • Psychosis
  • Low self-esteem
  • Identity issues
